St. Nicholas in Shrewsbury holds electronic recycling day Nov. 19Shrewsbury – All towns are welcome to participate in an electronic recycling day at St. Nicholas Church, 34 Gold St., Shrewsbury. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in St. Nicholas” parking lot.

Electronics that will be accepted include, but are not limited to monitors, computers, printers, stereo equipment, electronic games, TVs, copiers and fax machines, appliances (containing Freon* or not), lawn mowers (with gas removed), snow blowers (with gas removed), grills (without the gas tank), exercise equipment, and any motor or small engine items. *All Freon will be removed at facility; some of which include refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves, air conditioning units as well as microwaves, dehumidifiers, and anything with an electrical cord.

The event helps support the church and will have low recycling fees: &5 for monitors and computers; $15 for small TVs (up to 32 inches in size) and appliances; $20 for TVs over 32 inches in size; and $25 for projection and wood console TVs, keyboards and car batteries. There will also be a special bike collection (old or new) for re-use.
