Historical Society hosts “Remembering Shrewsbury's Civil War Veterans” Nov. 16

The Shrewsbury Historical Society will host “Remembering Shrewsbury's Civil War Veterans” Wednesday, Nov.16, at 7 p.m., at the 1830 Brick Schoolhouse on the Shrewsbury Town Common.

Join the historical society as they commemorate the sesquicentennial of the Civil War and recognize Shrewsbury's Civil War veterans. Many of the names of these brave soldiers are inscribed on the 1869 Civil War Monument located on the town common. Curators Linda and Lauren Davis will share the stories of these veterans and then attendees are invited to view the Society's display of Civil War artifacts.

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. For more information on the Shrewsbury Historical Society, visit www.shrewsburyhistoricalsociety.org.
