Region – The following local residents began their first year at St. Michael's College this semester: Alexandra Beck, the daughter of Kathy and Paul Beck of Southborough and a graduate of Algonquin Regional High School, and Julia Murphy, the daughter of Sally and Kevin Murphy of Southborough and a graduate of Algonquin Regional High School. St. Michael's College is located in Burlington, Vt.
Alyssa Urella, the daughter of Mark Urella of Holden and Elaine Urella of Shrewsbury, was selected for induction into the St. Michael's College chapter of Delta Epsilon Sigma (DES), the National Catholic Honor Society. Urella was inducted into DES in ceremonies held Sept. 24.
Urella, a senior accounting major, graduated from Wachusett Regional High School before attending St. Michael's.
Berklee College of Music announced local students’ placement on the dean's list for the summer semester of the 2011 academic year. The following local students earned placement on the dean's list: Adrian Sealy of Shrewsbury and Robert Guss of Southborough.
