Overboard to perform Nov. 22 at Westborough High SchoolWestborough – The Westborough Fine Arts Education Association and Westborough High Choral groups are proud to present the Boston-based Overboard. Their performance, which will be held Tuesday, Nov. 22, is part of the Guest Artist Series in the Fine Arts department. They will perform at 7:30 at the Westborough High School auditorium.

Overboard is a professional all-male contemporary a cappella group. As the concert headliner, they will be supported by the WHS Choral Union in a Beatles mashup of “In My Life” and “Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.” The WHS Chamber Singers are the opening act, performing “Blackbird” by the Beatles, “Lux Aurumque” by Eric Whitacre, and “Ev’ry Breath You Take” by the Police. During the school day, the group will be working with students in Master Classes to enrich their musical experience.

Founded in the spring of 2006 by current director Nicholas Girard, Overboard's repertoire consists primarily of contemporary pop/rock songs, including covers from such artists as Rascall Flatts, Stevie Wonder and The Beatles, but the group also remains true to its a cappella roots and continues to perform classic selections such as “Blue Moon,” “In The Still of the Night” and “Stand By Me.” To find out more about the group, visit www.overboardvocals.com/.

Tickets to the Nov. 22 performance are $8 per person and may be purchased at the door.
