St. John's High School to induct alumni into Athletic Hall of FameRegion – St. John's High School in Shrewsbury will induct nine alumni and one honorary alumnus, representing more than 50 years of sporting excellence on the courts, tracks and playing fields of Worcester and Shrewsbury, into its Athletic Hall of Fame this month.

This year's class of inductees is the 13th since the Hall of Fame began in 1989. There are 106 members currently in the Hall of Fame, representing graduating classes from 1922 to 1995. This year's group of student-athlete honorees ranges from the Class of 1958 to the Class of 1999.

The inductees will be honored in a Nov. 26 ceremony at Wachusett Country Club in West Boylston. For more information, contact the school's Alumni Office at 508-842-5353 or visit alumni.stjohnshigh.org.

Inductees for 2011, along with their current hometowns and varsity sports, are: Francis X. Kasheta “58 of Dudley for basketball and baseball; William A. White Jr. “60 of Holden for football and coach of baseball; E. Paul Tinsley “64 of Worcester for football, basketball and baseball; Robert F. Gilmartin “80 of Falls Church, Va., for football, hockey, and track and field; John R. Rademaker “82 of Centerville for indoor track and track and field; John T. Servin “85 of Charlotte, Vt., for cross country, indoor track and track and field; Todd M. Marrone “93 of Worcester, for basketball and baseball; Gregory J. Montalbano “95 of Northborough for baseball (posthumously); Matthew W. O”Malley “99 of Boston for football and basketball; and Robert F. Foley Sr. of West Boylston for athletic director and coach of basketball.

Also at the Hall of Fame Banquet, the St. John's High School Alumni Association will present the Bruce S. Kopka “71 Memorial Alumni Award to Thomas J. Fitzgerald “53 of Marlborough. This award recognizes a former student-athlete who has demonstrated courage, perseverance and character.
