Westborough – Susan Wornick, the popular longtime WCVB-TV anchor and reporter, was the guest speaker at the Nov. 17 Corridor Nine Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast meeting.
Before Wornick spoke, Donna Cox, a member of the Board of Directors and a past chair, announced the names of 22 local educators who were awarded a mini-grant from the Chamber.
Over $8,100 – monies that were donated to this program from Chamber members – was granted out, with an average gift of $400.
Wornick charmed the audience with her humor and knowledge, as she also complimented them for their business sense and commitment to their communities through programs such as the mini-grants initiative.
“This area is special,” she told the audience. “I respect you so much for what you do and how amazing it is how much this area has changed over the years, thanks to all of you.”
