Marlborough – Lorraine L. Girouard, 93, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011 at Elizabeth Seton Residence in Wellesley.
Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late Wilfrid and Irene (Lord) Langlois and the wife of the late Wallace O. Girouard, who died in 1996.
A graduate of Marlborough High School, Mrs. Girouard had been employed as a secretary at the Raytheon Corporation in Wayland and Sudbury for many years prior to her retirement. She had also been employed at the former Allen's Department Store, Marlborough. She was a member of the former St. Mary's Parish, Marlborough and Our Lady of the Assumption Guild.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Chan and her husband George of Marlborough; her sister, Marilyn Dougherty of Hudson; her grandchildren, whom she doted on and were the center of her life, Michael Chan and his wife Michelle of Irving Texas, Brian Chan and his wife Lynne of Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, Kevin Chan of Marlborough and Leeanne Combs of Boston; her great grandchildren, Brandon Chan and Ryan and Peter Combs; her great-great-grandchild, Nicholas Combs; and several nieces nephews and cousins. She was also the sister of the late Robert Langlois, Eleanor Boisvert and Shirley Greene.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, Nov. 21, at 10 a.m., at St. Bernadette Church, 266 Main St. (Route 20), Northborough. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Beach Street in Marlborough. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, Nov. 20 from 3 to 6 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough.
