Worcester – The Veterans Inc. Annual Holiday Harvest will be held Tuesday, Nov. 22, starting at 10 a.m., at Veterans Inc., 69 Grove St., Worcester, for veterans in need of assistance. On this Thanksgiving holiday, Veterans Inc. will provide a “Thanksgiving Dinner Food Box,” which includes all the items to prepare a delicious dinner, to over 400 veteran households living in the community.
“Our Food Bank served over 3,815 households providing meals to over 11,500 veterans and their family members last year and we are currently well on our way to exceed that number this year,” explained Denis Leary, Veterans Inc. Executive Director.
The event is sponsored in part by donations from the Worcester County Food Bank, Senator Michael Moore, Senator Harriette Chandler, Nam Knights, and the Clinton American Legion. However, community support is still needed.
Veterans Inc. is in need of additional food to be distributed Nov. 22 and is accepting donations of turkeys, produce, stuffing, canned gravy and cranberry sauce which can be dropped off at anytime at Veterans Inc.
