The Police Department will give out courtesy warning cards through Thanksgiving night, but after that time cars parked during the prohibited hours will be ticketed. If there is plowable snow before that time, tickets will be issued and cars will be towed at the owner's expense to facilitate snow removal.
Owners of cars should be aware that parking on any sidewalk at any time of the year is a violation that carries a $10 fine. Those using the municipal parking lot on South Street behind the Horseshoe Pub can park overnight in the designated area, but must have their car moved by 7 a.m. any time it snows to allow for snow removal.
