Dora F. Manganello, 88Shrewsbury – Dora F. Manganello, 88, passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011 in Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by her loving children, a son, James R. Pellegrino and his wife Christine of Spencer; two daughters, Marine L. Vincequere and her husband Anthony “Butch,” with whom she lived, and Janet S. Vuona and her husband Richard of Shrewsbury; a sister, Gloria of North Berwick, Maine; 10 grandsons; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Diane M. Gaffney, in 1993. She was also predeceased by her three brothers, Richard, Arthur and Alfred Manganello, and also by her identical twin sister, Helen C. Vigeant.

Born in Worcester, daughter of Lawrence and Clementina (Dentato) Manganello, she graduated from Commerce High.

She worked for many years as the manager of the shoe department at the former Sol & S. Marcus Women's Department store in downtown Worcester. She was a member of Saint Anne's Church in Shrewsbury.

Mrs. Manganello was a woman of great faith; who was kind, generous and hard working. With her gifts of love, compassion and her contagious smile, she had the ability to touch the hearts of everyone she met allowing her to leave a piece of herself with those blessed to know her.

She dedicated her life to her family and she was the matriarchal center of their lives. Her greatest joys in life were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She played a central role in building their character.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m., in Saint Anne's Church, 130 Boston Turnpike Rd.(Route 9), Shrewsbury. (Please go directly to church). Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery of Shrewsbury. There are no calling hours. Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel assisted with arrangements.
