Hudson – Dorothy E. (Hogan) Herrick, 80, died on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011 at Colonial Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Weymouth. She was the beloved wife the late James Herrick, who died in 1979.
Born in Boston and raised in Brookline, daughter of the late John E. and Dorothy M. (Carney) Hogan, she attended local schools and was a graduate of Brookline High School, class of 1949. She was employed as an inspector for many years by the Hypertronics Corp. in Hudson and prior to that was employed by the Hudson Lock Corp. of Hudson.
Mrs. Herrick was a resident of Hudson for 40-plus years and had recently resided in Quincy the past four years. She was a longtime member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson
She is survived by her three children, James Herrick and his wife Cheryl of Florida, Paul Herrick and his wife Katherine of Braintree, and Laurie Stucchi of Natick; her brother, John Hogan of Virginia; her sister, Carol Santosuosso of Arizona; and her five grandchildren. She was the mother of the late David and John Herrick and sister of the late Joan Romard of Marlborough.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 10 a.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc., 50 Central St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery of Hudson. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, Nov. 22, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
