Hudson – Hudson resident Dr. Jose Figueiredo will speak on “The Portuguese-American Community in Hudson” at the Tuesday, Nov. 29 meeting of the Hudson Historical Society. The starts at 7:30 p.m. at First Federated Church Hall, 200 Central St.
A native of Santa Maria Island, Portugal, Figueiredo came to the United States 51 years ago, and moved to Hudson 10 years later. He was teacher and principal of a Cambridge school for many years and is now teaching at Boston University.
