He was born in Concord, son of the late Edward A. and Annie F. (Lenfest) Hatch. He lived in Hudson for the past 10 years and lived in Ayer previously for five years. He lived most of his life in Maynard and had owned and operated the Assabet Janitorial Supply Company in Maynard. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hudson.
Mr. Hatch leaves five children, Roger Hatch Jr. of Sudbury, Amy Hatch of Leominster, Sarah Hatch of Sudbury, Edward Hatch III of Townsend and Nathan Hatch of Marlborough; a brother, Robin Hatch of Hawaii; a sister, Judith Calhoun of Spartanburg, S.C.; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 28, at 11 a.m., in the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord St., Maynard. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Maynard. Visiting hours will be 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
