Milford – Thomas Miglionico, 92, formerly of Shrewsbury and Worcester, passed away Sunday, Nov. 20th 2011 after a period of declining health.
Born in Worcester, a son of Nicola and Theresa M. (Campanelli) Miglionico, he grew up in Worcester, lived many years in Colorado and several years in Shrewsbury before moving to Milford 10 years ago.
He is survived by his son, Patrick G. Miglionico of Webster; his longtime friend, Jean Doyle, with whom he lived; two brothers, Donald Miglionico of Worcester and Anthony Miglionico of Peabody; three sisters, Beatrice Connor of Worcester, Genevieve Haynes of Falmouth and Elaine Dyer of Florida; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Two sons, Nicholas and Thomas Miglionico Jr.; two daughters, Patricia Miglionico and Theresa LaBelle; a brother, George Miglionico; and two sisters, Phyllis Gustaldo and Mary Mangione, all predeceased him.
Mr. Miglionico, during his working years, served as a sales rep for Royal Crown Cola before retiring. He previously worked for the Conrail Railroad system.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Hopedale and, previously, St Anne's Church in Shrewsbury. His enjoyments included dancing with Jean and traveling, His most happy times were spent while in the company of his family and friends.
Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. His funeral will follow from the funeral home with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
