Northborough – Grace (Porriello) Daley, 66, died at home Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Her loving husband of 41 years, William J. Daley, died this past April.She leaves two daughters, Patricia Hollyer and her husband Christian of Shrewsbury and Nicole Morrissey and her husband Patrick of Southborough; four grandchildren, Marissa, Joshua, Catherine and Michael; a sister, Patricia Kenefick of Southington, Conn. and her husband Francis; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Aufsesser of South Salem, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Susan Porriello Aufesser.
Born in Waterbury, Conn. and raised in Southington, Conn., she was the daughter of the late Pasqual and Elizabeth (Margarella) Porriello. She lived in Northborough for the past 34 years.
Mrs. Daley graduated from Quinsigamond Community College with an Associate degree in Accounting. She worked as a Senior Analyst for National Grid in Westborough for over 20 years.
She was a former varsity cheerleading coach at Algonquin Regional High School, and was active in community affairs, including her volunteer work for Habitat For Humanity. She also raised thousands of dollars for the American Cancer Society.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 11 a.m., in St. Rose of Lima Church, 244 West Main St., Northborough. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private. Please omit flowers.
