ARHS presents “Pippin” Dec. 8 – 10Northborough – Algonquin Regional High School will be presenting “Pippin” Thursday, Dec. 8, Friday, Dec. 9 and Saturday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m. each evening in the high school's auditorium. Pippin is a musical comedy of one man's journey and his personal search for meaning.

Once upon a time, a young prince longed to discover the secret of true happiness and fulfillment. He sought it in the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of the flesh and the intrigues of political power (after disposing of his father King Charlemagne the Great). Pippin is a hip, tongue-in-cheek, anachronistic fairy tale that captivated Broadway audiences by storm. The musical bursts with one show-stopping number after another, from soaring ballads to infectious dance numbers.

Pippin is based on the book Roger O. Hirson, and music and lyrics are by Stephen Shwartz. The performance is produced in special arrangement with Music Theatre International.

Tickets are $10 and can be reserved by e-mailing [email protected]. ARHS is located at 79 Bartlett St. in Northborough.
