Holiday high school performances Dec. 2, 8, 9 & 15 in MarlboroughMarlborough – Enjoy the holiday season with upcoming performing by the Marlborough High School music students.

The First Church in Marlborough will host the High School String Ensemble, under the direction of Jonathan Rosenthal, Friday, Dec. 2, beginning at 6:45 p.m. in the nave. That performance is part of the Home for the Holidays event and will be followed by the Marlborough Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Gary Piazza, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Holiday performances continue on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 4 p.m., in the first floor foyer outside J.C. Penney at the Solomon Pond Mall. The High School Jazz Ensemble and String Ensemble will be providing entertainment to open the annual Marlborough Public Schools Music Association Gift Wrap Booth. And, the Jazz and Jazz II ensembles return Saturday, Dec. 9 to perform beginning at 5 p.m.

Shoppers are welcome to bring their holiday packages to the Gift Wrap Booth for festive holiday wrapping, which will be located on the second floor of the Mall outside J.C. Penney. All donations support the music programs in the Marlborough Public Schools.

Thursday, Dec. 15, Marlborough High School will present the annual Winter Concert at the Whitcomb Middle School auditorium, beginning at 7 p.m. Admission is $6 for seniors and $7 for adults.
