Hudson – Doris J. (Kincaid) Benoit, 76, died on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011 at Marlborough Hospital. She was the beloved wife of 45 years to the late Edward J. Benoit Sr., who died in 2002.
Born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Raymond and Mabel (Turley) Kincaid, she attended local schools in Charleston and had resided in Hudson since she was 21 years old.
Mrs. Benoit was employed as a clerk for 30 years by the former Richard T. Harrity Co. of Hudson until her retirement.
She is survived by her four children, Edward J. Benoit Jr. of Clinton, Terri Wood and her husband Rick of Hudson, Donald Benoit of Keene, N.H. and Joanne Colcord and her husband Stephen of Marlborough. She is also survived by her brother, James Kincaid of Illinois; her three sisters, Iwana Yoder, Linda Payne and Connie Garber, all of Indiana; eight grandchildren, Kara, Michael and Alex Wood, Cameron, Connor, Cory and Kaylie Benoit, and Devin Colcord; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may attend calling hours Saturday, Dec. 3 from 9 to 11 a.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc., 50 Central St., Hudson, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson.
