River's Edge holds Holiday Concert Dec. 10 in HudsonHudson – The River's Edge Holiday Concert will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, at 3:30 p.m., at Hudson High School, 69 Brigham St. Performing in this popular concert, which is rapidly becoming a family tradition, will be the 50-member strong River's Edge Community Band under the direction of Jason Caron. The band is celebrating its 10th season this year.

Joining the band is the River's Edge Chorale, directed by Paul Johnson. The Chorale is made up of 30 local singers. Also performing are the students of the Pro Music Youth Chorus, which is celebrating its 25th season. The Youth Chorus performs under the leadership of Jan Patterson.

The band will perform selections such as Pat-a-Pan (arrangement by Tom Wallace), A Charlie Brown Christmas (arr. Carl Strommen), Italian Carol (Luigi Zaninelli), The Sussex Mummers” Christmas Carol (Grainger/Goldman), Johan De Meij's Polish Christmas Music [Part1] and Chorale and Alleluia (Howard Hanson.). The Chorale will perform the Russian Alleluia based on an arrangement by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Gloria by Antonio Vivaldi, and the Youth Chorus will performs the Wassail Song arranged by Vaughan Williams and the Hebrew folk song Torah Orah. The groups will perform together at the end of the concert with two very familiar Leroy Anderson pieces, A Christmas Festival and Sleigh Ride.
