Marlborough – Officials at Marlborough Hospital are on a mission to prove that there's no need to drive to Boston for first-class medical care. An important step was taken in August when city officials approved the addition of a new $13 million cancer wing.
In November, Marlborough Hospital received another boost when it garnered a 2011 Success Story Award from Press Ganey Associates, Inc. The Indiana-based organization partners with healthcare facilities (including over 50 percent of U.S. hospitals), to measure their quality of care. Marlborough Hospital was one of just nine hospitals to receive the honor, and one of only three to receive it for clinical performance.
