Westborough – Corridor Nine Area Chamber of Commerce, HYPE9, Doubletree Hotel, Westborough Community Education Department's SPIRIT program, and many of the area schools launched a food drive in late October to support local food pantries in Corridor Nine's five core towns of Westborough, Northborough, Southborough, Shrewsbury and Grafton. The goal is to collect 9,000 items before the food drive ends Friday, Dec. 16. To date, 6,000 have been donated.

To help the effort, individuals can promote the food campaign by setting up donation bins at their businesses and collecting items on behalf of this worthy cause. Food can also be dropped off at two Westborough locations: the Corridor Nine Chamber office at 30 Lyman St. or the Doubletree Hotel at 5400 Computer Dr.

For substantial amounts of food products, the Doubletree Hotel will pick up the donation. To arrange for a pick-up, contact the Chamber at 508-836-4444.
