Reaching for victory
Marlborough – Marlborough High School's (MHS) Nick De La Cruz (#24, right) gets some help from his teammate John Perry (#32, left) as they defend against Algonquin Regional High School's (ARHS) AJ Brodeur during season opener action Dec 9.
MHS hosted ARHS for both teams’ first game of the season. ARHS led through the majority of the game, but MHS closed the gap in the final minutes and forced the game into overtime, tied 60-60. ARHS proceeded to win 73-69 to give ARHS coach Chris Foy his first victory over MHS in the six years that he has been coaching.
