Marlborough – Jonathan Dutchka, 27, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, suddenly and too soon. “You were an angel before God took you.”

Mr. Dutchka had a love for sports and he contributed to the collective roar of New England sports teams. He had a big heart and was surrounded by family and friends who were blessed by having him in their lives. His embrace delivered warmth, his smile and words brought laughter and joy. He had a steadfast belief in those around him and his loyalty was a gift. He recognized and championed the character and quality of others.

He was most passionate about his music and writing, and the samples he left will be forever cherished.

He is survived by his mother, Sharon Decker of Marlborough; his father, Anthony Dutchka and his companion Lynne Palma of Marlborough; his girlfriend, Bridget Raiano of Marlborough; his brother, Jason Dutchka and his girlfriend Bailey of Marlborough; his sisters, Carole Dutchka of Louisville, Ky. and Christen Dutchka Davis and her husband Tuck of Fairfield, Conn.; his maternal grandparents, Charles and Beverly(Sears) Decker of Dennis; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was also the grandson of the late Charles and Josephine (Lettiere) Dutchka.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 10 a.m., at Trinity Church, 14 Wattaquadock Hill Rd., Bolton. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, Dec.13, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough.
