Westboro Tennis & Swim Club hosts professional tennis players Dec. 17

Saturday, Dec. 17, Westboro Tennis & Swim Club (WTSC) will open its doors and welcome three world-class tennis professionals Eric Butorac, James Cerretani and Adil Shamasdin, to host a unique tennis event from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The evening will be composed of an hour clinic, followed by an exhibition doubles match with the visiting tennis pros and WTSC's senior tennis pro, Tigran Martirosyan. Ticket prices for the exhibition doubles match are $30 for WTSC members, $100 for a WTSC family member package. Non-members of the club may purchase tickets at $40 per person. “Teens Cook” Dec. 20 at Culinary Underground

Tuesday, Dec. 20, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., let them join the chefs at Culinary Underground School for Home Cooks in Southborough for a special holiday workshop, “Teens Cook: Holiday Treats for Giving.” How teens love to bake – and eat – the stuff they make. This holiday season, Modern Dentistry is working with Toys for Tots to gather new toys for children in need. Donations will be accepted through Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 307 Grafton St., Suite 203, Shrewsbury. Dr. Todd A. Rocky's Ace Hardware announces holiday pet food drive

Rocky's Ace Hardware, a family-owned business with 33 neighborhood-based stores, is proud to announce their partnership with Nutro Pet Foods in joining together with its customers to help homeless and abandoned pets. Customers can make donations of much-needed pet food at their local Rocky's Ace Hardware store, which will collect all the donations and drive them to their locally chosen charity. Locally, the Northborough Rocky's Ace Hardware, located at 261 West Main St., will be collecting pet food donations to benefit the Worcester Animal Rescue League. Donations will be delivered directly to the shelter or humane society on or about Dec. 23.

 

Sinerate attends IJO Fall Buying & Seminar Conference

James Sinerate, owner of Towne & Country Jewelers, recently attended a series of educational seminars, workshops and courses at the Independent Jewelers Organization's (IJO) Fall Buying & Seminar Conference in Nashville, Tenn. He had the opportunity to preview lines of more than 150 top manufacturers and jewelry designers who exhibited their merchandise, some of which is exclusive only to Master IJO members. “Attending the IJO Conference gives us a competitive edge over our competition by keeping us up-to-date with what is currently going on in our industry,” Sinerate said.
