Westborough – First United Methodist Church, 120 West Main St. in Westborough, will hold its annual “Blue Christmas Service” for the community Sunday, Dec. 18 at 5:30 p.m.
For many, Christmas can be a “blue” time because of heartache, pain, loss or frustration. Others may be blue because it stirs up other feelings – memories of what once was, or thoughts of how it would have been.
During the Blue Christmas Service, these feelings are acknowledged, and comfort and hope are offered through scripture, song, prayer and the lighting of candles.
