Jane C. Luikey, 93Shrewsbury – Jane C. (Siemaszko) Luikey, 93, died peacefully Sunday, Dec. 25, Christmas Day, 2011, in the Ichabod Washburn Hospice Residence in Worcester. Her husband, John J. Luikey, died in 1986.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth and her husband John A. Zemaitis of Shrewsbury, with whom she lived; her daughter, Janice Mitchell and her husband Alden of Holden; and her son, John J. Luikey Jr. and his wife Lynn of Charlotte, N.C. She also is survived by her sister, Helen Lebel of Millbury; her two brothers, Joseph Siemaszko and Thaddeus Siemaszko of Worcester; her grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Stanley Sieminski, Benjamin Siemaszko and Vincent Siemaszko.

The daughter of the late Daniel and Teckla Siemaszko, she was a graduate of Commerce High School and worked for many years as a sales person at Grace Wayside Furniture.

She was member of the Shrewsbury Senior Center, where she enjoyed playing cards with her dear friends. She also was a member of St. Anne's Parish in Shrewsbury.

The family would like to express their appreciation to all those, known and unknown, who added so lovingly to her final days, especially Lynn and Gay of the UMass Memorial Hospice team and the caring and supportive nurses and staff of the Ichabod Washburn Hospice Residence in Worcester.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours Tuesday, Dec. 27, from 4 to 6 p.m., at Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 10 a.m., at St. Anne's Church, 130 Boston Tpke., Shrewsbury. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the UMass Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln St., Worcester, MA 01605 or the Ichabod Washburn Hospice Residence, 1183 Main St., Worcester, MA 01603.
