Region – After learning about the Latin American celebration of Three Kings Day, Claire Devlin, 4, of Southborough wears the crown she created while attending the Children's Festival of Holidays, held Dec. 10 at Boroughs Family Branch YMCA in Westborough. Through crafts, music, dance and culinary treats, children of all ages learned about many holidays celebrated worldwide. Among other crafts featured were coloring dragon designs for Chinese New Year, assembling edible dreidels for Hanukkah, designing sand art for Kwanzaa, and creating paper chandeliers for Thailand's Loy Krathong. The annual event was open to the community at no charge.
