Southborough – Florence C. (Hill) Cox, 83, died Saturday, Dec.31, 2011 at MetroWest Medical Center – Framingham Union Hospital. She was the wife of the late James H. Cox Jr., who died in 2003.
She leaves her children, James H. Cox III of Chicago, Timothy J. Cox of Connecticut and Stephen P. Cox of Southborough; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Thomas F. Cox, who died in 2010.
Born in Marlborough, daughter of the late Royal and Eva (Roache) Hill, she was a graduate of Marlborough High School and had lived most of her life in Southborough.
For over 15 years, Mrs. Cox was a U.S. Postal Carrier in the town of Southborough until her retirement several years ago.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Jan.7, at 10 a.m., in St. Matthew's Church, 105 Southville Rd., Southborough. Burial will follow in the Southborough Rural Cemetery. Calling hours will be held prior to the Mass from 8 to 9:30 a.m. in the John P. Rowe Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Marlborough.
