Algonquin gets on board(s)
Region – Shrewsbury High School (SHS) sophomore defenseman Cole Ambach mixes it up on the boards with Algonquin Regional High School (ARHS) senior forward Chris Strobel during their High School Classic game Jan. 7 at the DCU in Worcester.
SHS played host to ARHS during the third annual classic. ARHS got on the board first to take a 1-0 lead, but SHS answered with two goals by the end of the first period. The second period was evenly played, with SHS scoring once at the end to lead 3-1. In the third period, ARHS scored again, but SHS garnered two more, including an empty-net goal to win 5-2.
