AVRTHS “builds” on successRegion – As part of their curriculum, students at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School in Marlborough learn trades such as plumbing, electrical wiring and carpentry. They may soon get to see some of those trades in action, right in their own building, if school administrators are successful in getting approval for a proposed $62 million building repair project.

The Massachusetts School Building Authority has already committed to funding $33 million of the project. Now administrators must convince the school's seven member communities – Berlin, Hudson, Marlborough, Maynard, Northborough, Southborough and Westborough – to fund their shares as well. Each town pays an annual allotment based on its residents” three-year average enrollment in the school.
