Fun for all ages
Northborough – Fifth-grader Sophia Walker ponders her next move as she plays chess with Fran Warren during Board Game Buddies, held Jan. 12 at Proctor Elementary School. Once a month, over 50 fifth-graders meet with about 18 seniors to play board games such as Scrabble, Yahtzee, checkers and bingo. The students’ buddies include grandparents, neighbors and teachers, many of whom have been participating in the intergenerational program for several years.
