River's Edge Community Band welcomes new playersHudson – The River's Edge Community Band is welcoming new members playing percussion, wind and brass instruments. Area musicians, including experienced high school students, are encouraged to become members of the River's Edge Community Band at any time, but now is an especially good time as the band has completed its holiday concert and is beginning to prepare for upcoming concerts in March and June. Regular rehearsals are held each Thursday night from 7 to 9 p.m. at Room C108 of Hudson High School.

Jason Caron is the artistic director and conductor for the River's Edge Community Band, which has been growing as an ensemble since it was founded in 2002. The repertoire includes classical music, traditional marches, orchestral transcriptions, show tunes and jazz. A concert celebrating the ensembles 10th anniversary will be held March 31 at Hudson High School.
