Hudson – Stella A. (Cygan) Zagura, 93, former longtime resident of Indian Orchard, a suburb of Springfield, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012 at UMass Memorial Healthcare, University Campus in Worcester. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis J. Zagura, who died in 1986.
Born and raised in Wilbraham, daughter of the late Stanley and Catherine (Bolduc) Cygan, she attended local schools and was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Springfield. She resided in Springfield for a short time before moving to Indian Orchard, where she resided for 50-plus years. She has most recently resided in Hudson with her son, Richard.
Mrs. Zagura enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her five grandchildren, Lisa, Lynne, Krisha, Zachary and Jillian. They will always cherish the love and care she shared with them.
Besides her five grandchildren, she is survived by her son, Richard Zagura and his wife, Michelle, of Hudson and her three great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m., in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 346 Franklin St., Springfield. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, 1273 Berkshire Ave., Springfield. Calling hours will be held Sunday, Jan. 22, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson.
