NuRide is the nation's largest commuter rewards program designed to benefit those travelers who have made the decision to take green trips by taking public transportation, walking, carpooling, vanpooling, biking or even telecommuting. By signing up for NuRide and logging eligible trips of transportation on the site, individuals will begin to accumulate incentive points. Points can be redeemed for area retail discounts and restaurant coupons, as well as tickets to shows and attractions.
Signing up for NuRide is as simple as visiting the WRTA's website at www.therta.com, clicking on the NuRide logo and registering. As an added incentive, make sure that after filling out the required fields in the “Sign Up Today” section, enter the WRTA's promo code, “BUSREWARDS,” on the next page. By entering the WRTA promo code, registered users will immediately earn a bonus of 1,000 points for signing up.
This free service is made available in the state through the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, and is supported by sponsors that provide special offers to NuRide members who register on the NuRide website and track their trips.
“Environmental responsibility is everyone's concern, and through this program, not only will you get the benefit of helping to reduce your carbon footprint, you'sl also be rewarded for it. This is truly a program where everyone wins,” WRTA Administrator Stephen O”Neil said.
