St. Rose of Lima Church to host “Catholic Church & Immigration” program

Northborough – St. Rose of Lima Church will host Kevin Appleby as he presents “The Catholic Church & Immigration” Sunday, Feb. 19, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Appleby, director of the Policy & Public Affairs Office, Migration & Refugee Services with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, will speak about the position of the U.S. Catholic bishops on immigration reform, some of the myths that dominate the debate, and how immigration to this nation impacts the life of the Church. He will also address the public discussion of immigration and how that has impacted the debate over the past several years. He holds a law degree from theUniversityofMarylandand a master's degree in international affairs fromGeorgeWashingtonUniversity.

The presentation will take place at St. Rose ofLima,244 West Main St.(Route 20), Northborough. All are welcome at attend.
