Marlborough – The Marlborough Public Library has announced two fun events for your child to participate during February vacation week.
A pizza tasting will be held Tuesday, Feb. 22 from 5 to 6 p.m. Children in grades 7 to 12 can taste test pizza from six local pizza shops and determine who has the best cheese, dough, sauce, etc. Thursday, Feb. 16 is the deadline to register for the pizza tasting. A minimum of five participants are needed for this program to run.
A “Hunger Games competition will take place Friday, Feb. 24 from 12 to 1:30 p.m. Enjoy pizza and compete for points in the library's very own Hunger Games. The person with the most points at the end of the competition wins two movie passes to see the Hunger Games! Space is limited to 15 teens, so sign up now. Also, the Marlborough Public Library Teen Writing Competition is being held through March 2. Marlborough students and homeschoolers from grades 7 to 12 are invited to send in their best story/poetry for the competition. Four lucky writers will win $100!
