Shrewsbury – In contrast to the attractive Lakeway Business District that is intended to preserve and enhance the appearance of Route 9, residents fear that an eyesore will be created if a proposed new business, a flea market, is allowed to be built nearby. Residents in the Oak Street and Beverly Hill Drive neighborhoods are particularly upset as they cite the potential traffic and safety concerns if such a business were to open at that site. The Planning Board's public hearing on the matter will resume Thursday, March 1, at 7:15 p.m.
