New England Amputee Association meets March 13

Region – Diabetes is one of the major causes of amputation in the United States. Statistics show that after a person is amputated due to complication from diabetes, he or she could lose the second leg within four years.

To help educate the community better, Al Whitaker, Community Program Director for the American Diabetes Association, will be speaking on Diabetes Care and Prevention Tuesday, March 13, starting at 6 p.m., at Clinton Hospital, 201 Highland St., Clinton.
