New medical director of endoscopy named at Marlborough Hospital

Marlborough – Karen O. Moore, president and CEO of Marlborough Hospital, has announced that Dmitry Finkelberg, MD has been named the medical director of Endoscopy Services at Marlborough Hospital.

Dr. Finkelberg, is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He has been on the Marlborough Hospital medical staff since 2010, and is also a member of the UMass Memorial Medical Group. In his new position, he will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the quality of service at the new Endoscopy Center in Southborough and the endoscopy inpatient unit at the hospital.

He will continue to see patients and perform procedures at the UMass Memorial/Marlborough Hospital Specialty Care building located at 28 Newton St. in Southborough.

Dr. Finkelberg, a resident of Holden, completed a fellowship in gastroenterology through the UMass Graduate Medical Education program. In addition to his new leadership position at Marlborough Hospital, he is an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
