Six C.A. tips of the day for Feb. 17

Six C.A. tips of the day for Feb. 17Region – Each day we’ll bring you the six C.A. tips of the day – one for each of our six towns. It could be about an event coming up, a feature you may have missed, a link to an interesting website or just something quirky.

For Friday, February 17 –

1. Everyone knows college is so expensive. Shrewsbury students should definitely check out the this scholarship opportunity from SELCO and NESN.

2. A former Marlborough candidate for Councilor-at-Large is facing some serious charges.

3. Hudson High School's Intel Mini Theatre will be performing “The Light Princess” this Saturday and Sunday. The play is described as “perfect for children of all ages.”

4. If all goes according to plan, the Stop & Shop at Westborough's Turnpike Plaza will soon have a new stand-alone liquor store inside it.

5. Read how a former St. Mark's star hockey player is now the school's coach, after achieving success in the NHL and the Olympics.

6. Sadly Northborough's “Mitzi Raynor” didn's win the big prize at Westminster the Dog show earlier this week. ( “Malachy”, a Pekingese, was voted Best in Show.) But we still think Mitzi is pretty special, don's you?
