Northborough – Paul W. Kemp III, 58, died at his home Friday, Feb. 17, 2012 after a short battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Angelico) Kemp for the past 24 years.

Born in Bloomsburg, Penn., he was the son of Louise (Getty) Kemp of Blue Hills, Maine and the late Paul W. Kemp Jr. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh with a bachelor degree in engineering.

Mr. Kemp worked for Smart Modular Technology in Westford as an electrical engineer and held four patents related to his work. He had the rare combination of extreme intelligence and common sense.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and working on his home. He built a large addition on his home totally by himself along with the long, tall stonewall lining the driveway and the steps up to the house. As a devoted husband and father, his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Tim and Rachel Kemp of Northborough; his sister, Susan Reiley of Brooklin, Maine; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Angelico of Westborough; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Patty Anonia and her husband, Fran Anonia.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, Feb. 19, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Southborough. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 11 a.m., at the Trinity Church, 23 Main St., Northborough.
