Marlborough – Behind the Mask Theatre will perform “The Woman Who Outshone the Sun” Tuesday, Feb. 21. The event will start at 1 p.m. at the Marlborough Senior Center, 250 Main St.

A fun performance for all ages, The Woman Who Outshone the Sun is about a beautiful and mysterious woman with magical powers who is exiled from a mountain village. She takes away the village's water source, a vital river, and through their suffering for what they have lost, the villagers learn important lessons of tolerance, forgiveness, and the frailty of the ecosystem. After the performance, a mask-making workshop will be held at 2 p.m.

Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students, and $6 for children under 10. The workshop will be an additional $15. To purchase tickets or for more information, call the Arts alliance at 978-562-1646 or visit upwitharts.org.
