Westborough – Janice E. Green Woodward, 89, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 17, 2012 at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Merritt Woodward and the late Robert Green.
Born in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late H. Rodney and Eleanor (Harrison) Brooke and a 1944 graduate of Skidmore College.
She was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Westborough, a Docent at the Worcester Art Museum, past president of the Skidmore Alumni Club, and served on the Montachusett Council, Girl Scouts of America.
She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth B. Green of Brookline; three sons, Robert G. Green of Georgia, Bruce M. Green of Brunswick, Maine, and William H. Green of Long Island, New York; one sister, Connie Ray of Lakeland, Florida; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 25, at 10 a.m., in the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
