Shrewsbury – Norma J. Brien, 83, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 at the UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester, following an illness.
Ms. Brien lived for many years with Christine R. Kelleher and her late husband George, friends for many years. She also leaves her two nieces, Teri MacDonald and Susan Spillane, and her extended family, the members of the Kelleher family, including Michael and the late Patrick Kelleher and their families, who referred to her as Nana.
Born and raised in New Bedford, daughter of the late Henri and Mabel (Evans) Brien, she had lived in Shrewsbury for more than 40 years. She worked as a customer service supervisor for Fenwal Electronics in Framingham and Milford before she retired. She loved to read and do word puzzles. She was the person that taught the Kelleher kids how to play cards and board games.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 17, at 11 a.m., in Mountain View Cemetery of Shrewsbury. The Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
