Marlborough – The Marlborough Rotary Club has announced that it will offer four $1,000 college scholarships to students graduating from high school in 2011. In addition, a $250 tool award will be presented to a vocational student for the purpose of purchasing tools.
Two of the $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to Marlborough High School students, and one will be awarded to a student graduating from Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School. Additionally, there is a $1,000 scholarship available to a Marlborough resident graduating from other than a Marlborough public school. These scholarships will be paid for tuition towards two- or four-year degrees at accredited colleges and universities. Furthermore, the club will award a scholarship in memory of the late Rotarian Fred Fitzgerald.
