northboroNorthborough – Normally dog licenses are assessed a $25 late fee after March 1. But residents who have not yet registered their dogs may do so through Monday, March 5 without paying the penalty.

Residents may purchase a dog license at the Town Clerk's office or may drop off their payments after hours in the locked drop box located at the Town Hall entrance facing the parking lot.

License fees are: spayed/neutered – $15.00 and intact males/females – $20.00. Unless already on file, a valid rabies certificate (with expiration date) is required to purchase a dog license. Proof of spaying or neutering is also necessary for all dogs that were not licensed as such last year. Spay or neuter certificates or a short note from your veterinarian will be acceptable.

To purchase a dog license by mail send your check and any necessary rabies/spay or neuter certificates and provide the following information: Owner name, phone and address, dog's name, breed, and age, and note if they are neutered or spayed.

Checks should be made out to the town of Northborough and mailed to the Town Clerk, 63 Main St., Northborough, MA 01532.
