River's Edge Community Band holds spring concert March 31Hudson – The River's Edge Community Band 10th Anniversary Concert is to be held Saturday, March 31, at 7:30 p.m., at Hudson High School, 69 Brigham St.

The program includes an exciting and varied program of great German, Belgian, and American marches by Teike, Leemans, and Bagley; music for the waltz and other folk dances by Shostakovich; and a contemporary classical piece, “Bloom” by Steven Bryant, that gives a powerful sense of well-being, and is simultaneously tranquil and exuberant among other pieces.

“The selections are just perfect for a celebratory spring concert,” said Jason Caron, conductor and artistic director.

Tickets are available at www.upwitharts.org or by calling 978-562-1646. Tickets purchased in advance receive a $1 discount, and members of the Arts Alliance receive an additional $1 discount. Prices at the door are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $8 for children under 10. In honor of this special celebration, tickets are discounted $1 at the door if you bring a non-perishable food item/toiletry for donation to the Hudson Food Pantry.
