Marlborough – John J. Moffa, 83, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, after a period of declining health.
He leaves his devoted wife of 58 years, Savina A. (Bracani) Moffa; his son, John S. Moffa and his wife Lynne of Sandwich; and his three grandchildren, J.R. Moffa, Kara B. Moffa, and Tyler J. Moffa, all of Sandwich, who brought so much joy to his heart and were the light of his life. He also leaves two sisters, Phyllis Sanborn of Orlando, Fla. and Anne Salmon of Hudson.
Born in Marlborough, son of the late Salvatore and Philomena (Moffa) Moffa, he was a lifelong resident of Marlborough.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 16, at 11a.m., from the John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main St., Marlborough, with a Mass at 12 p.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial with military honors will follow in Evergreen Cemetery of Marlborough. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Thursday, March 15, from 6 to 8 p.m.
