“Death by Chocolate” organizer sends thanksTo the Editor:

The Rotary Club of Shrewsbury would like to extend our appreciation to all who helped make the First Annual Death by Chocolate a huge success!

We were pleased to present the Paton Playground Rebuild Project with a check for $7,000 representing 50% of the proceeds. Remaining proceeds will help fund Rotary community service programs such as 2nd Grade Literacy Day, St. Anne's milk program, college scholarships, Senior community dinners and SYFS.

This event would not have been possible without the generosity of our Chocolate Participants: Buca di Beppo, CC Cookies, Chartwells at WPI, CocoBeni Confections, Crio Bru, Darby's Bakery, Hebert Confections, Katelyn Rooney, Norman Brown, Price Chopper Supermarkets, Shrewsbury Girl Scouts, Something Sweet by Michelle, Struck Catering, The Classy Cupcake, Wegmans Food Markets, and Wicked Good Cookies.

We are grateful for the support of our Major Sponsor $1,500 Central One Federal Credit Union and our $1,000 sponsors Glavin Residents, Unibank and Wheelabrator Shrewsbury.

Thank you also to the many other organizations and individuals who contributed sponsorships, items for the prize drawing items and our guests who came out to support the event.
This was truly a community event and we are already looking forward to next year!

Sharon Brown, President
Rotary Club of Shrewsbury
