ACS invites licensed cosmetologists and estheticians to help cancer patients ‘Look Good…Feel Better’Worcester – The American Cancer Society will hold a “Look Good . . . Feel Better” training session for licensed cosmetologists and estheticians April 16 at the American Cancer Society's Worcester office, 350 Plantation St.

Look Good . . . Feel Better, a free program founded and developed by the Personal Care Products Council, teaches cancer patients hands-on cosmetic techniques to help them cope with appearance-related side effects from chemotherapy or radiation treatments.

Wig care, scarf and hat use, skin care and nail care will all be discussed. Licensed cosmetologists and estheticians trained by the American Cancer Society conduct the program, which is non-medical and does not promote any product line.

Participants who complete the training will then have the opportunity to give back, lending their services and expertise to help others maintain confidence and style during treatment for cancer.

A welcome and participant sign-in will take place on-site between 9 to 9:30 a.m., with the training scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pre-registration is required.
